Jack Sholund has
been painting water color landscapes and wildlife for over 25
years, working nearly every day on two or three paintings at
a time. He has a studio gallery in his Minnesota home and has
won awards for his work, some of which has been made into calendars,
notecards, mousepads and more. In 1994, additional FOP bone
in his right arm created problems so severe that he had to switch
to painting with his left, but he continued painting nonetheless.
Please browse his gallery website at www.jackbsholund.com
and contact him by email to make a purchase. |
| Sarah Steele
has been designing and handcrafting plastic canvas pencil-holders
since 1995. Each pencil holder is 4" tall and 3" in
diameter (also the right size to hold a soda-can) and Sarah
spends 15 hours making each one. You can custom order one and
choose your own colors and pattern. The holders cost $10 each,
including shipping, and 20 percent of the proceeds go to the
IFOPA. Sarah can be reached by email at sarahls@prodigy.net.

Mary Grimm, an
avid cross stitcher her whole life, decided to try painting
as an additional hobby in 1992 and soon discovered an unsuspected
talent. Ms. Grimm believes that practice has played a large
part in her artistic success. She currently paints flowers and
landscapes, trying to paint at least two hours daily despite
the frequent rests demanded by her FOP. For pictures of her
work or more information, please contact Mary by email at senormichi@msn.com. |
| Natalie McKeever

The cousin of Vincent Whelan, a young adult with FOP, Natalie
is donating 50 percent of all proceeds to the IFOPA. Her beautiful
items range in price from $5 to $30. Please support the IFOPA
and check it out! |

Jasmin Floyd,
has her own greeting card and gifts company, Jasmin Ariel
Creations, located at www.jasminariel.com.
She offers a variety of cards, stationery and calendars made
from her original artwork, as well as Jasmine-scented soap and
various candles from Home and Garden Party. Profits from
her company help support ongoing FOP research and awareness.
Jasmin says this is an opportunity for her to have fun, be creative,
and raise awareness/funds for a treatment and a cure. |

| Richard Musgrave (1949-2002)
brought great joy to his friends, family and members of the
FOP community with his wonderful poetry and his uplifting way
of looking at life. He was raised and educated in England, living
there until his death in August 2002. Richard's book, Poetic
Salad, has brought joy to people in many areas of the world

Brian Irwin's,
Out of the Hat Children's Book of Magic, is a wonderful book
for children in which Magician Brian Irwin teaches the reader
how to do the "best" magic tricks as selected by children
with FOP. Mr. Irwin and Boyce Press, the book's publisher, originally
donated half of the proceeds from each $20 book to the IFOPA,
they are on sale for only $10 each and everything (but shipping)
goes to the IFOPA! To buy books for yourself and your family,
and for creative ways to sell the book to others (schools, fundraisers,
churches, book fairs, etc), please contact the IFOPA office
at together@ifopa.org. |
| Averyll DePalmer's
book, Aunt Tilly Comes to Dinner, illustrates table manners
for children in a clever and fun way. A friend of FOP parents,
Bill and Hillary Weldon, Mrs. DePalmer is donating $5 to the
IFOPA for each $10 book sold through the IFOPA. (Because of
the additional vendors involved, the IFOPA receives only $1
for each book purchased in a store.) To buy books for yourself
and your family, and for creative ways to sell the book to others
(schools, fundraisers, churches, book fairs, etc) please contact
the IFOPA office at together@ifopa.org.

"A prayer for
Whitney," is a beautiful song sung by Kassy Ciasulli and
Salvatore Arpino. The magical words and music were written
by Carol Bayer Sager and David Foster. Kassy used to babysit
for Whitney Weldon, a girl with FOP. Her goal now "is to
help get her the medical support needed to insure her dreams
come true." A CD of the song, generously produced by Kevin
Ferd, is available through the Betty Anne Laue/IFOPA Resource
Center with a donation of $10 or more, plus $2 shipping and
handling. The CD makes a wonderful favor or gift at a luncheon
fundraiser, etc. To order the CD or for more information email
the IFOPA office at together@ifopa.org.

FOP Awareness Bracelets
Show off your FOP advocacy by wearing an FOP Awareness Bracelet. The bracelet is green and is embossed with "FOP AWARENESS WWW.IFOPA.ORG."
The bracelets are $2 each and must be ordered in batches of 10 or 25. The bracelets are available in both youth and adult sizes. By wearing the official green IFOPA wristband, you are visually supporting our efforts to raise public awareness about FOP.
Contact the IFOPA office at together@ifopa.org or 407-365-4194 if you are interested in ordering bracelets. If paying by check, please send to:
IFOPA
PO Box 196217
Winter Springs, FL 32719-6217
You may pay online through PayPal by clicking on the icon below. International requests are encouraged to pay through PayPal.
When ordering, please indicate your payment is for “bracelets,” quantity desired (in batches of 10 or 25) and size (adult or youth).
New Pilot Program -- As part of a new pilot program (first 500 bracelets), people with FOP and/or their immediate families with limited resources can purchase bracelets on consignment in packages of 10 or 25. Consignment means that payment is not due until after the bracelets are sold.
The program is designed so that the recipient will have two months to sell the bracelets, collect the money and send the money to the IFOPA after the full batch has been sold (at $2.00 per bracelets). If participants haven't sold all the bracelets in that time period, they can either return the unsold bracelets at their expense along with a check for those bracelets that were sold (at $2.00 per bracelets), or they can purchase the remaining unsold bracelets from the original batch at the end of those two months and then sell the extra bracelets at their leisure. At the end of the two months, each family or individual must have made a full payment for the initial batch of bracelets before a second batch can be ordered.
Anyone interested in participating in the new pilot program should contact Robin Rice at ROBINLRICE@aol.com.
Note: We will only issue bracelets to FOP members and/or their immediate families if they are in good standing with the IFOPA (meaning members must have their dues paid or requested sponsorship). |
