IFOPA-sponsored and member-created arts and crafts

Jack Sholund has been painting water color landscapes and wildlife for over 25 years, working nearly every day on two or three paintings at a time. He has a studio gallery in his Minnesota home and has won awards for his work, some of which has been made into calendars, notecards, mousepads and more. In 1994, additional FOP bone in his right arm created problems so severe that he had to switch to painting with his left, but he continued painting nonetheless. Please browse his gallery website at www.jackbsholund.com and contact him by email to make a purchase.

Sarah Steele has been designing and handcrafting plastic canvas pencil-holders since 1995. Each pencil holder is 4" tall and 3" in diameter (also the right size to hold a soda-can) and Sarah spends 15 hours making each one. You can custom order one and choose your own colors and pattern. The holders cost $10 each, including shipping, and 20 percent of the proceeds go to the IFOPA. Sarah can be reached by email at sarahls@prodigy.net.

Mary Grimm, an avid cross stitcher her whole life, decided to try painting as an additional hobby in 1992 and soon discovered an unsuspected talent. Ms. Grimm believes that practice has played a large part in her artistic success. She currently paints flowers and landscapes, trying to paint at least two hours daily despite the frequent rests demanded by her FOP. For pictures of her work or more information, please contact Mary by email at senormichi@msn.com.

Natalie McKeever sells jewelry through a website at www.geocities.com/natsbeads. The cousin of Vincent Whelan, a young adult with FOP, Natalie is donating 50 percent of all proceeds to the IFOPA. Her beautiful items range in price from $5 to $30. Please support the IFOPA and check it out!

Jasmin Floyd, has her own greeting card and gifts company, Jasmin Ariel Creations, located at www.jasminariel.com. She offers a variety of cards, stationery and calendars made from her original artwork, as well as Jasmine-scented soap and various candles from Home and Garden Party. Profits from her company help support ongoing FOP research and awareness. Jasmin says this is an opportunity for her to have fun, be creative, and raise awareness/funds for a treatment and a cure.

Karen of Karen's Kreations, has made a whimsical world of pins, wine rings, earrings, etc. and she just so happens to give a little of her world back to the IFOPA. Half of the IFOPA merchandise ordered will be donated to us! Karen will donate 10 percent of any other order of merchandise purchased through her website as long as the customer lets her know that they would like to donate to the IFOPA. Orders can be made by emailing karen at procrafter@hotmail.com or by filling out the form on her website at www.karensglabels.com. Angel pins are $9.99, lapel pins and earrings are $5.99 each.
